Camp Program Director & Head Coach  -  Michael Bellizzi

Delmar native Michael Bellizzi will once again lead campers through a fun-filled summer experience as Camp Program Director and Head Coach.  By blending skills training and drills, with scrimmages and competitive games, he will keep attendees engaged and help ensure that they enjoy their time at Bellizzi Baseball Camp each day.

The son of camp founder Bob Bellizzi, the late Head Baseball Coach at The College of Saint Rose, Michael has been involved in baseball nearly all his life.  He coached and played for the Albany Senators in the Albany Twilight Baseball League for 10 years, leading the Senators to the Twilight League Championship in 2014 as the youngest head coach to do so in the league's 92-year history.  Now in his 9th season as Head JV baseball coach at Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, Michael was also a senior counselor at Bellizzi Baseball Camp for over 10 years.  He is currently a 6th grade history and English teacher at Sand Creek Middle School in Colonie and is also certified in childhood/special education.

A graduate of The College of Saint Rose and Bethlehem Central High School, Coach Bellizzi was a member of the Varsity Baseball team at BCHS, where he served as team captain in 2008.  He also played on teams in the various youth baseball leagues in the Town of Bethlehem, where he was a member of the Tri-Village Little League 12 year-old All Star team that was runner-up for the New York State Little League Championship in the summer of 2002.
